Where the Trains Once Thundered.
This walk starts at Lancaster station and finishes at Morecambe station. Graded easy this walk is 6 kilometres (3.8 miles) and should take around 1 hour 40 minutes.
Follow the route of the ‘Little North Western’ Railway between Lancaster Green Ayre and Morecambe Promenade, opened in the late 1840s.
Stop off at Lancaster Castle, and the Maritime Museum, cross the River Lune by the Millennium Bridge and stroll along the sands at Morecambe.
