Small Grants Fund Bid Successes

Community Rail Lancashire is pleased to announce that it has been successful in securing two grants from the Community Rail Network’s Small Grant Fund (England).

The two grants are for projects at Croston station on the Preston to Ormskirk line and at Ramsgreave & Wilpshire on the Clitheroe Line. At Croston CRL are replacing a life expired 2 panel notice board with a new branded 2 panel board at the station car park entrance for use by the Friends of Croston Station.

Ramsgreave & Wilpshire Station  is currently part of a project called Connecting East Lancashire, a partnership between Blackburn with Darwen and Lancashire county Councils. CRL is facilitating some of the works and this grant will help provide some Community Rail Partnership branded notice boards at the station to be used to display art work and also a new community notice board for the Friends of Station group.
