Rail Related Home Activities

Thousands and thousands of British schoolchildren (along with their peers around the world) are now being educated at home due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic.

With many educational websites offering free access for parents and organisations providing activities and lessons, Community Rail Lancashire decided to create a page for families to access rail-related activities and lessons.

The website contains links to other pages which contain railway themed activities – including Great Western and Peter’s Railway.

In addition, CRL’s Education Officer Karen Bennett has been creating new activities which have been uploaded to the page. So far you can work on a train class themed maths worksheet, answer questions on Network Rail’s Stay Safe with Thomas book, design your own ‘trainbow’ and get involved in ‘Be A Gem At Home‘.

For more details of these exciting activities, go to https://downtheline.org.uk/projects/activities-at-home/

You can also submit your pictures on info@downtheline.org.uk for possible inclusion on the Home Activities on the website.
