Northern Industrial Action
Northern have released train timetable information for customers travelling on Tuesday 3rd & Thursday 5th October 2017.
Northern aim to help keep customers moving during the two separate days of industrial action on Tuesday 3 and Thursday 5 October, we aim to run over 1200 services on each strike day.
The majority of available trains will operate between 7am and 7pm, with services on some routes finishing earlier. During these hours the overall number of trains running will be significantly reduced. We expect trains and any replacement buses we operate will be extremely busy. Please allow extra time for journeys, plan carefully and consider whether travel is necessary.
These are the only Northern services that will run.
The timetables are the same for both days of industrial action.
The timetables marked as a bus are the rail replacement bus services. If your station is not serviced by a train or rail replacement bus, you may be able to catch an existing local bus service..
You may be able to use your ticket on other train operator services.
You will be able to use tickets on Arriva Bus services (including Yorkshire Tiger) on 3 and 5 October to make journeys you would otherwise have made by rail.
Industrial action is also affecting Greater Anglia, Merseyrail and Southern services.
Below are the routes in the Community Rail Lancashire & adjacent areas that will operate on the two strike days.
