The start of the winter timetable on Sunday 10th December 2017 has seen the introduction of more trains in East Lancashire.
On the Colne to Preston (Blackpool South) route the Sunday service has been improved to run hourly throughout the day with the first service departing Colne at 09:23 and the last leaving at 21:31.
On the Blackburn to Manchester Victoria (direct) route the service has been stepped up to every 30 mins from 06:27 to 17:09 Mondays to Saturdays. This means that there are now three trains an hour to Manchester – two direct and one via Todmorden.
