Community Rail Lancashire’s newest project got underway on Tuesday 17th October, with CRL and Robert Mann, photographer with Arriva Trains Wales, going into schools to begin the process.
Hope High School, Wigan, and Kirkby High School both enjoyed seeing some of the fantastic and inspiring photos Robert has taken for ATW.
They then discussed some of their perceptions of the railway, their ideas for the project, and even came up with the official project name, which is a combination of several ideas from the young people: Together we are tRAILblazers!
The young people will be coming onto the network in November, to take their own photographs representing their view of rail travel, ready for use promoting the line to other young people.
