Looking for something to do over the weekend in the Community Rail Lancashire area? Would you like to get there by train? Then look no further!

In the Lytham Heritage Centre the Tom Mellor OBE exhibition continues until Sunday 9th April. Tom was a local architect, painter & designer and the exhibition includes photographs of the buildings he designed, his paintings and some furniture designs. 10:00 – 16:00 (not Mondays) free admission.

In Blackburn at the Blackburn Museum & Art Gallery the major exhibition India’s Gateway; Gujarat, Mumbai & Britain continues until Saturday 15th July. The exhibition traces the history of Gujarat and Mumbai and their remarkable links with Britain. Wednesdays – Saturdays 12:00 – 16:45 free admission.

Saturday 18th March sees two Lancashire Rail Rambler guided walks starting at Grange-over-Sands. Walk 1 is a moderate 11 miles and walk 2 is a moderately easy 8 miles – full details on http://bit.do/dgUva.

On the Bentham Line on Saturday 18th March there is a Book Fair in Gargrave Village Hall – organised by North West Book Fairs it is open between 10:00 & 16:00 with a small entrance charge of approx. £1.      

Close to Ansdell & Fairhaven station on Saturday 18th March there is a guided bird watching walk around Granny’s Bay with an opportunity to see the amazing array of visitors to the Ribble Estuary. Meet 12:00 at the Ribble Discovery Centre, Fairhaven Lake – £2.50 for RSPB members £3.50 for non members.
