Between The Tees Golf Bag Project

St. Anne’s In Bloom’s Golf Bag project has got underway as they mark out the route from St. Anne’s station to the Royal Lytham & St. Anne’s Golf course with discarded golf bags planted up in the colours of the Ricoh Women’s Tournament.

Volunteers collected the bags in – took out the insides (including clubs, tees, golf balls and scorecards) and then added plant pots utilising red and white flowers.

The project, backed financially by St Anne’s Town Council, has been managed by In Bloom volunteers.  Silent Golfers will be appearing alongside the bags prior to the start of the Tournament towards the end of next week.

In addition we have some painted pebbles with a golf theme donated by St Anne’s Rocks and they will be hidden amongst our plants in time for the event.

The Ricoh Women’s British Open Golf Tournament takes place between 2nd & 5th August 2018 at the Royal Lytham & St Annes Golf Club – full details on https://ricohwomensbritishopen.com/
