Bentham station was busy this morning with people on a ‘joint venture day’.
Managers from Northern and staff and managers from ISS, Northern’s maintenance contractors, along with members of the Bentham Line CRP, members of the Friends of Bentham Station and volunteers form the town all came together to give the station an autumn spruce up.
The work included cleaning moss and other vegetation from the platform surfaces, tree pruning, strimming and clearing embankments, washing down poster cases and other surfaces, realigning poster cases in the waiting shelter on the Morecambe bound platform and much more.
The Friends of Bentham station would like to thank everyone who turned out on the day and are grateful for all the help.
