The Friends of St. Anne’s Stations working with the South Fylde Line CRP have just heard that a bid for funding from the Association of Community Rail Partnerships (ACoRP) Small Grants Fund has been successful.

The £1000 grant will go towards the construction of some raised beds for the platform at St. Anne’s Station. The grant will be supported by funds from the CRP, St. Anne’s Town Council and Fylde Borough Council’s Community Projects Fund.

The Friends of St. Anne’s Stations are a vey new group and have already made a huge difference to the station. The fence has been painted, flower tubs filled, beds weeded and replanted. The group are keen to progress and the raised beds are just the next step in their aspirations.
