The Lancashire Community Rail Partnerships have been successful in getting five of their nominations for the National Community Rail Awards short listed. The Community Rail Awards 2010, a prestigious national event, are being held in Westcliff-on-Sea on Friday 24th September 2010.

The five short listed entries are:

• Involving Young People – Meet Me at the Station Project
• Community Art Schemes – Great Wall of Daisyfield
• Best Station/Train Retail Outlet – Carnforth Refreshment Room
• Station Development – Ormskirk Station Regeneration
• The Local Station Environment Award (CRP Lines) – Clitheroe Station
